Ali Landry is a former Miss Louisiana and Miss USA, model and actress. Her first taste of the limelight came in the pageant world when she was crowned Miss Louisiana Teen USA in 1990. On this competition, she won the evening gown and swimsuit competitions, but took the sixth place in the finals. When she came back for another run in 1995, Ali Landry won the Miss Louisiana USA 1996 title, making her the Louisiana representative to compete in the 1996 Miss USA pageant. On February 1996, Ali Landry took home the Miss USA crown. That same year, she went on to compete at the 1996 Miss Universe pageant.
Although Ali didn’t make it as Miss Universe, she made history as the first-ever Miss Teen USA to make it as Miss USA. After pageantry, Ali Landry became the spokesperson for Doritos chips, with advertisements during the Super Bowl football games from 1998 to 2000. Also in 1998, People magazine named Ali as one of the 50 most beautiful people in the world. During this time, Landry landed recurring roles in TV shows such as “Two Guys and a Girl,” “Felicity,” “Popular,” “Sunset Beach” and the UPN sitcom “Eve.”
Since 2000, Ali Landry has landed small roles in movies such as “Hung Tom Chung,” “Beautiful,” “Soulkeeper,” “Repli-Kate,” and “Outta Time.” In 2006, Ali appeared in the award-winning movie “Bella,” which was directed by Landry’s husband Alejandro Monteverde.
Ali Landry has hosted several events and TV shows. Aside from her weekly music-talk show “Farm Club.com,” Ali has hosted for “America's Greatest Pets,” NBC’s “Spy TV,” WE’s “Cooking with Mom” and “Full Frontal Fashion.” Landry has also appeared on several music videos, most notably 98 Degrees’ video for “I Do.”
Ali Landry is also a favorite of magazine lists, such as FHM Magazine’s 100 Sexiest Women in the World. She has also been included in Askmen.com’s lists of 99 Most Desirable Women in the World and 50 Most Beautiful Women. Ali Landry has also been named on Stuff Magazine’s list of 100 Sexiest Women.
