Ali Landry was born on July 21, 1973 in Breaux Bridge, Los Angeles. While attending Cecilia High School, Ali joined and won Miss Louisiana Teen USA. After graduating high school in 1991, she then studied Mass Communication at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Ali then represented her home state in the Miss USA competition, taking home the crown. Landry competed in the Miss Universe pageant and finished among the top six finalists. Her next appearance in the world of pageants will be as a co-host in the 2000 and 2002 Miss Universe competition.
In 1997, Ali Landry began her acting career in small roles on TV shows such as "Clueless," "Conan" and "Sunset Beach." She then appeared on the UPN show "America's greatest Pets" and sketch comedy show "Prime Time Comedy." However, it was only after landing a deal with Doritos chips as the company's spokesperson and appearing on a Super Bowl advertisement in 1998 did Ali Landry became a household name. She continued to appear on Doritos commercials for the 1999 and 2000 Super Bowl.
Ali Landry had several recurring roles on TV, including for the pilot "Significant Others," "Pensacola Wings of Gold," and "Felicity." She also hosted the reality TV series "Spy TV," and co-hosted the concert series Farmclub.com and "Full Frontal Fashion." After several hosting gigs, Ali Landry went back to acting with the Fox series "Fastlane." She then landed a regular role in the UPN series "Eve."
On the big screen, Ali appeared in the 2000 beauty pageant comedy "Beautiful," 2001 horror flick "Soulkeeper," 2002 sci-fi comedy "Repli-Kate," and low-budget film "Outta Time," where she worked opposite then-boyfriend Mario Lopez. In 2003, Ali Landry appeared in the film "Who's Your Daddy?" Her most recent movie credit was in the 2006 Award-winning "Bella," which was directed by her current husband Alejandro Monteverde.
Ali Landry has been featured on several magazines, including People's "50 Most Beautiful People in the World," FHM's "100 Sexiest Women in the World," Stuff Magazine's "100 Sexiest Women," and Askmen.com's list of "50 Most Beautiful Women" and "99 Most Desirable Women in the World."
In 1998, Ali Landry dated "Saved by the Bell" star Mario Lopez as he served a commentator for the Miss Teen USA pageant. Ali and Mario dated for six years and married in 2004, but Landry asked for an annulment shortly thereafter. In 2005, Ali met director Alejandro Gomez Monteverde and married the following year.
